Rhine River & Koln: Sept. 29th

From Frankfurt we took the train to Bacharach, a small town along the Rhine River. We hopped on a ferry and enjoyed the small towns, castles, and crops lining the hills along the way. After of few hours of crusing we exited at Boppard. We boarded the train to Koln where we stayed for the evening. One of our dorm mates, Kyle, was from Brazil. He joined us for dinner across the street at a humble restaurant where we all enjoyed a traditional German meal, Schnitzel and potatoes. Ben was adventurous and tried a specialty of Koln, blutwurst (blood sausage). According to Ben, it was very flavorful. After dinner, we enjoyed relaxing in the room and casual conversation with our new friend.

The next day began early to make the train from Koln to our next stop in the south - Rothenburg on the infamous romantic road.
